Cariboos (Canada)
This is the ultimate terrain for only the most experienced of skiers. You can only get up here with the assistance of a helicopter as the peaks are unreachable under normal circumstances, let alone when they’re covered with snow. It’s extreme to its very core.
Angel Falls (Venezuela)
If you’re into base jumping, you’re probably used to jumping from enormous manmade structures in some of the world’s most famous cities. There’s probably only a few of you out there as this is the epitome of a niche sport. The bravest (arguably craziest) of base jumpers who really want to take in the natural surroundings before they jump head to the tallest waterfall in the world. It stands at 3,212 feet atop Auyantepul (Venezuela’s tabletop mountain) and has a plunge of 2,648 feet. It’s basically the largest drop in the world and presents an awesome challenge for even the most experienced of daredevils.
Dahab (Egypt)
Most tourists spend a little time under the waters of the Red Sea learning to dive or exploring the coral with a snorkel. But there’s something here for the real adrenaline junkie too. Dahab has been identified as the freediving Mecca. Here the water is warm and clear with a variety of marine life highly visible. For those diving without any equipment, the premier spot is located just 50 feet from shore. With depths of 295 feet this really is the place to push your body to the limit.
Magpie River (Canada)
Canada is such a vast and open wilderness it’s not surprising that this is the second time it’s featured on our list. The Magpie River in Quebec is a haven for white-water rafters, enabling them to fight against the class 3-5 rapids amid the stunning green forests. It’s also a perfect spot for camping and presents a great chance to relax in the great outdoors following the hit of your adrenaline rush.
